Julie Pett, P.Eng, M.Eng, CEM, CMVP, LEED AP BD+C

 

 

 

Julie Pett started p3energy in 2015 and is an Engineer based out of Vancouver, BC.  Julie has worked in new building construction, sustainable design, and energy retrofits for over 14 years. She is a Professional Engineer and has a Master’s of Clean Energy Engineering from the University of British Columbia (2014) and completed her undergraduate in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University. Currently Julie works for the University of British Columbia, Vancouver campus, as their Sr. Energy Conservation Manager and specializes in reducing laboratory and institutional energy use as well as energy master planning.

 

p3 energy provided sustainable building, renewable energy, and climate change mitigation solutions across Canada and the United States prior to Julie taking on a leadership position at UBC, and is currently not in operation.

 

As part of her work at UBC, Julie Pett has presented at a number of conferences in Canada and the US including the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL) and Sustainable Labs Canada (SLCan) on reducing energy consumption by 40% in new laboratory buildings. In 2021 she ran a net zero energy study for the campus’ district energy system and presented at the Engineering and Geoscientists BC Annual Conference (EGBC) in the fall.
